Dun Caan

(Dùn Caan)

A peculiar flat-topped hill which represents the highest point on Raasay in the Inner Hebrides, Dun Caan rises to 444m (1456 feet) 2¼ miles (3.5 km) east northeast of Oskaig. Its summit is capped by a crag, representing part of a 60 million year-old lava flow, surmounted by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar.
