Moirlanich Longhouse

Described as an outstanding example of a traditional cruck frame cottage and byre, Moirlanich Longhouse has been little altered since it was built in the mid-19th Century. Situated a mile (1.5 km) to the northwest of Killin in Stirling Council Area, it was purchased by the National Trust for Scotland in 1992. It was home to at least three generations of the Robertson family who lived there until 1968. In an adjacent building there is an exhibition of clothes and an interpretation of the history and restoration of the building.
