Hermiston Quay

A district and small business park on the edge of Edinburgh, Hermiston Quay lies within a bend on the Union Canal, just within the A720 Edinburgh Bypass, a half-mile (0.8 km) east northeast of Long Hermiston and a similar distance south of Edinburgh Park. The principal building here is a three-storey 2825 sq. m (30,411 sq. foot) office block, constructed speculatively in 2002 by Miller Developments and sold to Henderson Global Investors for £5 million in 2006. This lay empty until 2010, when it was occupied by the National Trust for Scotland as their head office, having been forced to sell their previous headquarters building in Charlotte Square in the New Town.
