The remains of Arnhall Castle, a former seat of the Dow family, lie within the policies of Keir House, 4 miles (6 km) northwest of Stirling. Built in 1617, the building was incorporated into the Stirling of Keir Estate by marriage. Today, the site is a scheduled monument.
