A small reservoir with an earth embankment dam in Fife, Donald Rose Reservoir (or Carriston Upper) is located a mile (1.5 km) east northeast of Star and 1¼ miles (2 km) northwest of Kennoway. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. The reservoir provides a popular recreational fishery.
