Cameron House

Standing forlornly on Cameron House Avenue amidst public housing in the Prestonfield district of Edinburgh, Cameron House was built in 1770 for the Dick family, owners of the Prestonfield estate and the nearby Prestonfield House. It comprises a rather modest three-storey classical mansion, with small wings and a little white portico, having been extended in the 19th C.

Cameron House was B-listed in 1970 and divided into flats in 1973. A section is now used by the Community Education Department of Edinburgh City Council.
