Nethergate House

Nethergate House is a fine villa lying on the south side of the Nethergate in W Central Dundee. It was built in 1790 for the reforming Provost Alexander Riddoch (1745 - 1822), possibly by the town architect, Samuel Bell. One of few properties on the Nethergate with a front garden, it also features a modest Ionic doorway. For many years the building has served as a branch of the Clydesdale Bank.
