Ballindalloch Bridge

(Ballindalloch Viaduct)

A fine lattice-girder bridge which once carried the Strathspey Railway over the River Spey at Cragganmore in Moray, the Ballindalloch Viaduct is now crossed by the Speyside Way. Built of wrought-iron in 1863, it was the work of G. Macfarlane of Dundee. The single 60.3-m (198-foot) girder section is carried on a pair of substantial masonry piers, with short access spans at either end.
