Clenries Reservoir

A tiny roadside reservoir impounded by an earth embankment dam on the course of the Loch Burn in Dumfries and Galloway, Clenries is located 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Sanquhar and 3¾ miles (6 km) east of Kirkconnel. Opened in 1868 for the supply of drinking-water to Sanquhar, it is now operated by Scottish Water.
