Camelon Station

A modern railway halt located behind the Mariner Centre in Camelon and 1¼ miles (2 km) west northwest of Falkirk town centre, Camelon Station (Gael: Camalan) lies on the line which connects Edinburgh with Stirling, 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Falkirk Grahamston Station. Built in 1994 by Railtrack, it is used by around 100,000 passengers per year (2012) and is operated by ScotRail. It replaced the former Camelon station built in 1850, which lay to the east of the current station, but closed in 1967.
