Aikengall Community Wind Farm is situated at the eastern end of the Lammermuir Hills in the E of East Lothian, immediately to the northeast of Crystal Rig Wind Farm and 3 miles (5 km) west southwest of Oldhamstocks. Generating power since 2008, the site comprises sixteen Vestas V90 turbines, each rated at 3 MW, giving a total installed capacity of 48 MW. Each turbine has a tip height of 125m (410 feet).
The farm is owned and operated by Community Windpower Ltd. and its entire output has been bought by the multi-national power company Gaz de France. Aikengall is one of the most productive wind farms in Scotland in terms of efficiency.
