Bath Castle

(West Bath House)

An historic white-harled house occupying a picturesque situation on a rocky knoll in W Fife, Bath Castle, previously known as West Bath House, is located at Bath, a half-mile (0.8 km) north northeast of Bogside. Dating from the 17th C., the rectangular two-storey building features a red-pantiled roof and crow-stepped gables. The turnpike stair tower was added later. Bath Castle was B-listed in 1972. Once sub-divided, it was restored as a private home in the mid-1980s, comprising a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms.
