Garrowhill Railway Station (known as An Cnoc Garbh in Gaelic) is located on the North Clyde Line, between Barlanark and Garrowhill, 4½ miles (7 km) east of the centre of Glasgow. This station opened in 1936 and was originally owned by the London & North Eastern Railway. It comprises two platforms linked by an overbridge.
Now operated by ScotRail, Garrowhill Railway Station is staffed part-time and was used by 465,362 passengers per annum (2016-17). It is preceded by Easterhouse Railway Station, a mile (1.5 km) to the east northeast, and followed by Shettleston, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the west.
