Garscadden Railway Station

A railway halt which serves both the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line in Glasgow City Council Area, Garscadden (given the name Gart Sgadain in Gaelic) is located on Kinellar Drive in Garscadden, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west northwest of Scotstoun. This station was built in 1960 as an island platform on the former Glasgow, Yoker and Clydebank Railway, which had been operating since 1882. Now run by ScotRail, Garscadden Railway Station is staffed part-time and was used by 209,064 passengers per annum (2016-17). It is preceded by Scotstounhill Railway Station, a half-mile (1 km) to the east southeast, and followed by Yoker, a mile (1.5 km) to the west northwest. The Yoker Depot lies a quarter-mile (0.4 km) to the west northwest.
