King's Park Railway Station

A suburban halt on the Newton Branch of the Cathcart Circle Line in Glasgow City, King's Park Railway Station (referred to as Pàirc an Rìgh in Gaelic) lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of Kings Park and a half-mile (1 km) east of Cathcart. Opened in 1928, to serve the developing suburb of Kings Park, the station comprises an island platform. It is now operated by ScotRail and staffed part-time. King's Park Station was used by 216,314 passengers per annum (2016-17) and is preceded by Croftfoot, a half-mile (1 km) to the east, and followed by Mount Florida Railway Station, a similar distance to the northwest, on the Crosshill Branch to Glasgow Central or Langside, 1¼ miles (2 km) west, on the Shawlands Branch.
