Airbles Cemetery

A burial ground on the southwestern edge of Motherwell in North Lanarkshire, Airbles Cemetery is located next to the River Clyde, a half-mile (1 km) southwest of the town centre. Extending to 9.97 ha / 24.6 acres, this cemetery opened c.1905 and approximately 300 interments take place each year. There are eighty-two Commonwealth War Graves located here. Previously run by Motherwell and Wishaw Town Council, it is now operated by North Lanarkshire Council.
