Strath of Brydock Wind Farm

The Strath of Brydock Wind Farm comprises three Enercon E70 turbines which occupy the northern slopes of the Hill of Firfolds in N Aberdeenshire, 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Banff. The farm was commissioned in 2009 and generates 6.9 MW of electricity. Each turbine produces 2.3 MW, with blades having a diameter of 71m (233 feet) and a hub height of 64m (210 feet) giving a height to blade tip of 99.5m (326 feet). The site was developed by Muirden Energy using local contractors and acquired by fund manager Resonance Asset Management in 2013.
