Parish of Moonzie

Moonzie is a small parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Cupar and 7 miles (11 km) east of Newburgh in Fife.

It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 5 sq. km (1.9 sq. miles). Moonzie has 4 neighbouring parishes; namely Creich, Cupar, Kilmany and Monimail. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
