Ceres is a parish, which lies in Fife Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Cupar and 7 miles (12 km) southwest of St Andrews in Fife.
It is located in the old county of Fife, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.
The parish has an area of 40.7 sq. km (15.7 sq. miles). Ceres has 9 neighbouring parishes; namely Cameron, Cults, Cupar, Kemback, Kettle, Kilconquhar, Largo, Scoonie and St Andrews & St Leonards.
