Parish of Whittingehame

Whittingehame is a parish, which lies in East Lothian Council Area, some 8 miles (13 km) southeast of Haddington in East Lothian and 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Duns in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of East Lothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 62.6 sq. km (24.1 sq. miles). Whittingehame has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Cranshaws, Garvald & Bara, Longformacus, Morham, Prestonkirk and Stenton. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
