Parish of Inveresk Inveresk is a coastal parish, which lies in East Lothian Council Area, some 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Prestonpans in East Lothian and 5 miles (7 km) northeast of Bonnyrigg in Midlothian.It is located in the old county of Midlothian, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 22.1 sq. km (8.5 sq. miles).
