Parish of Castleton

Castleton is a parish bordering England, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 11 miles (17 km) northeast of Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway and 13 miles (22 km) south of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of Roxburghshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 276 sq. km (106.5 sq. miles). Castleton has 6 neighbouring Scottish parishes; namely Canonbie, Cavers, Ewes, Hobkirk, Southdean and Teviothead.
