David Heddle


1943 -

Bowls player. Born in Aberdeen, Heddle now lives in Fraserburgh. Playing bowls as a disabled athlete, Heddle won the Scottish Championships on seven occasions, together with eight wins in the indoor championships, before first representing his country in 2001. Along with Ivan Prior (b.1935) and John Robertson (b.1941), he won a gold medal in the disabled athlete's competition in Men's Triples Lawn Bowls at the Manchester Commonwealth Games (2002).
