Finn Russell


1992 -

Rugby internationalist. Born in Stirling, into a sporting family, Russell was raised in Bridge of Allan. He was educated at Bridge of Allan Primary School and Wallace High School, leaving to train as a stone mason. Signed by Glasgow Warriors in 2012, he played for the Scotland Under-20 side in the Junior World Championship in South Africa. During 2013, he played in New Zealand supported by a John Macphail Rugby Scholarship. He joined the National First XV in 2014.

His father is Director of Domestic Rugby for the Scottish Rugby Union, his grandparents were international badminton players, his uncle and great-grandfather played cricket for Scotland and his brothers are also noted rugby players.
