David Clyde


1885 - 1945

Actor. Born in Blairgowrie, older brother of Andy Clyde (1892 - 1967) and minor actress Jean Clyde. Appeared in 65 films between 1934 and his death, although almost always in minor roles. His more notable works include We Are Not Alone (1939), Death of a Champion (1939), Love Letters (1945) and the Sherlock Holmes mystery The House of Fear (1945). He also had a small role in the 1942 classic Mrs. Miniver.

Died in the San Fernando Valley, California.
