(3rd Duke of Hamilton; 1st Earl of Selkirk) 1634 - 1694
Noble. Son of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas (1589 - 1659). In 1656, he married Anne, Duchess of Hamilton (1632 - 1716), who successfully petitioned the King for Douglas to become the 3rd Duke of Hamilton in 1660.
He was succeeded by the couple's son, James Douglas-Hamilton (1658 - 1712).
