Voe

Shetland

The village of Voe is located at the head of Olna Firth on the west coast of the Shetland Mainland. It comprises the communities of Lower Voe (with a pier and small marina), Hillside (with the school), Tagon and Mulla, all of which lie above and to the north. Opposite Lower Voe is the ruined St. Olaf's Church, which dates from the early 18th C., together with its white-painted successor (1868) and the community's cemetery.
