14 September 2008:
I have a great interest in the history of Dunbar. My Mother has proudly talked about our family connection to Lady Dunbar and if anyone could send recent pics or vids of what it's like there. it would be very helpful and very much appreciated.

Dunbar Golf Club plays over the East Links at Dunbar -- perhaps the only golf course that also is a battlefield over which Oliver Cromwell's left flank circled close in and defeat the Scots Army on the 3rd of September 1650.
Many of the early office bearers of Dunbar Golf Club were military men reflecting Dunbars military presence stemming from its roots as a strategic town on the route between Scotland and England. An excellent history of Dunbar Golf Club can be found at http://www.dunbar-golfclub.co.uk
