19 July 2005:
I should like to make the following observations regarding James braidwood (1800 - 1861). Mr Braiwood's funeral route was lined by millions of people. 300, 000 people gathered in the City area around the Royal Exchange alone, and contemporary accounts say that his funeral was one of the largest seen for a commoner, and was nearly as large as that for the Duke of Wellington.
Yours sincerely
Steve Elliot. - Steve Elliot (gaz@megalight.demon.co.uk)
