Muir of Ord (in Ross-shire, Highlands) has a very unusual rescue centre, it is called the Pet-Tacular rescue centre and caters for all small pets except cats and dogs, we usually have birds, rabbits and small rodents looking for new homes. In order to fund the rescue centre there is a boarding facility for these animals, and sometimes if some-one is staying in the area they leave their pet with us while they enjoy their holiday knowing they can visit their pet when they want. Pet-Tacular welcomes visitors although it is advised they ring the centre first.
