A locality in the Buchan district of Aberdeenshire, Balquhindachy comprises a group of farms (Balquhindachy, Backhill of Balquhindachy and South Balquhindachy), together with Balquhindachy Cottages, all located on the slopes of the Hill of Balquhindachy, 3½ miles (5.5 km) southwest of New Deer. To the east, the Burn of Balquhindachy flows through the Den of Balquhindachy. There is another Balquhindachy 7 miles (11 km) to the northwest.
