Enochdhu

(Ennochdhu)
Perth and Kinross

A settlement at the head of Strath Ardle, Perth and Kinross, Enochdhu (Ennochdhu) lies on the River Ardle, 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Kirkmichael and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Pitlochry. Queen Victoria rested and took tea here while traveling from Balmoral Castle to Dunkeld on the 1st October 1866 and the spot is marked by a plaque on the ground next to the Ardle. An early 19th Century house here was converted into the Kindrogan Field Centre in 1963 for the Scottish Field Studies Association.
