Buchanty

Perth and Kinross

A small settlement in Glen Almond, Perth and Kinross, Buchanty lies in the parish of Fowlis Wester, at a crossing of the River Almond a mile (1.5 km) east of the southern end of the Sma' Glen and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Crieff. The river, which flows through a succession of turbulent gorges, is crossed here by a 17th-century high arched bridge which looks onto deep pools and the swirling water of Buchanty Spout.
