North Ayrshire

A hamlet of the western coastline of the island of Arran in North Ayrshire, Tormore lies at the southern end of Machrie Bay, 3 miles (5 km) north of Blackwaterfoot. The Machrie Moor Standing Stones lie a half mile (1 km) to the east of the hamlet while a half mile (1 km) to the southwest lies King's Cave, believed to be the setting for the legend of Robert the Bruce and the spider.
