Corrie


North Ayrshire

A resort village on the east coast of the island of Arran, North Ayrshire, Corrie lies on a raised beach 4 miles (7 km) north of Brodick. The village and its pier developed in the 19th Century in association with the quarrying and export of limestone. The old farmtoun settlement of High Corrie lies to the west. Notable buildings include the villa of Cromla House (19th C.), and Corrie Parish Church (1886).
