Daill

Argyll and Bute

A small settlement and a farm in the centre of the island of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Daill is located ¾ miles (1.2 km) southeast of Redhouses and 2 miles (3 km) east of Bridgend. A distillery was developed here by the McEachern family following the Small Stills Act of 1816. This operated in farm buildings which still exist until the 1830s and produced more than 27,000 litres (6000 gallons) of spirit annually.
