Skerray

Highland

A picturesque township of the northern coastline of the Sutherland district of Highland Council Area, Skerray lies 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Tongue. The post office, shop and a small museum occupy Jimson's Croft Community Centre, a group of ruined croft-houses which were restored with their traditional thatched roofs, through a local initiative. Skerray Harbour lies on Skerray Bay to the north. There is also a village hall and a corrugated-iron Free Church, with a war memorial adjacent while Skerray graveyard is located to the east overlooking Torrisdale Bay.

There is a further locality named Skerray shown on maps only 1¼ miles (2 km) to the west.
