A settlement on the north bank of the River Tay, beneath the Friarton Bridge, Walnut Grove is effectively a suburb of Perth, located 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of the city centre. The name is synonymous with West Kinfauns. It lies next to the A90 / M90 roads, providing accessibility to the south and east. In 1983, Walnut Grove became the head office and depot for the Stagecoach Bus Group, which later moved to Dunkeld Road in the city centre. The Edrington Group announced the closure of their office here in 2016, which was built as the headquarters of Highland Distillers in 1998.
