Ormsaigmore

Highland

A crofting township of the southern coastline of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the Lochaber district of Highland Council Area, Ormsaigmore forms a southwestern extension of Kilchoan and overlooks Kilchoan Bay to the southeast. The original clachan with its lazy beds was cleared to form a sheep farm in the 1830s and the residents moved to crofts at Ormsaigbeg. Crofts were established here in the early 20th C. There is a chambered cairn at Greadal Fhinn.
