A settlement comprising a group of smallholdings lying off the A836, 6 miles (10 km) to the west of Thurso. To the north is the Hill of Lybster, which rises to 53m (174 feet). This should not be confused with the village of Lybster, located 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Lybster.
