East Lothian

A location on the East Lothan coast, Seacliff comprises a small settlement and estate centred 2 miles (3 km) north northeast of Whitekirk and 3½ miles (5.5 km) east of North Berwick. The ruins of Seacliff Tower lies on the cliffs to the east and dates from the 18th C. Seacliff House was built in 1750, rebuilt in 1841 but abandoned in 1907 after a fire, which killed the owner. Carved out of the rocks to the west of the fine sandy Seacliff Beach is the tiny Seacliff Harbour is said to Britain's smallest.
