Ackergill

Highland

A location in Caithness, Highland Council Area, Ackergill lies just over 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Wick. The five-storeyed Ackergill Tower, dating from the 15th Century and once the seat of the Earl Marischal, is now used as a conference centre. It was remodelled in the baronial style by David Bryce in 1851. Close by are a pair of 18th-century doocots and the elegant farm buildings of Ackergill Mains farm steading.

Wick Airport lies immediately to the east.
