A location on the Solway coast of Dumfries and Galloway, Priestside lies a mile (1.5 km) to the south of Ruthwell. To the east is the peatland of the Priestside Flow and to the south the coastal sands of the Priestside Bank stretching out to the Rough Scar rocks mark the meeting of the Lochar Water and River Eden channels.
