Warmanbie

Dumfries and Galloway

A location in Annandale, Dumfries and Galloway, Warmanbie lies on the River Annan, just over a mile (1.5 km) north of the town of Annan. Warmanbie House, a modest Georgian country house of c.1820 built in local red sandstone, was a hotel until 2005. Set in 18 ha (45 acres) of wooded grounds, the house is said to be haunted. The Warmanbie Suspension footbridge crosses the River Annan to the south and was built in 1897 in honour of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
