A location in Dumfries and Galloway, Innermessan lies to the east of Loch Ryan, 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Stranraer. The site of a much larger ancient settlement and a World War II prisoner of war camp , its castle was a stronghold of the Agnew's of Lochnaw.
