A small settlement in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Cutcloy is situated a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Burrow Head, at the end of a minor road which extends from the Isle of Whithorn, 2 miles (3 km) to the east northeast. Located here are a farm and a few cottages, with the sizeable Burrowhead Holiday Village lying to the south. The Holiday Village comprises 125 owner-occupied holiday lodges and static caravans, together with pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.
