A location in Nithsdale, Dumfries and Galloway, Cargen lies between the Crooks Pow and Cargen Pow, 3 miles (5 km) south of Dumfries. The Cargen Pow joins the River Nith near here and to the north and south are Cargen Holm and Flotts of Cargen.
