A location in Dumfries and Galloway, Carsecreugh lies 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Glenluce. A ruined tower near here was built in 1680 for James Dalrymple, Lord Stair, who had married the daughter of James Ross of Balneil, owner of an earlier building on the site that once belonged to Glenluce Abbey.
