A small village on the north side of the Cheviot Hills in the Scottish Borders, Kirk Yetholm lies on the Bowmont Water 8 miles (13 km) southeast of Kelso. Once famous as the home of Scottish Gypsies, the village now lies at the northern end of the Pennine Way. It also lies on St. Cuthbert's Way which extends from Melrose to Lindisfarne.
