A location in the E of Lewis in the Western Isles, Arnish (or Arinish, Gael: Airinis) is situated 1¼ miles (2 km) south of Stornoway. Arnish Lighthouse is located on Arnish Point, with associated keepers' cottages. Behind is the enormous Arnish Point Fabrication Yard, occupying the site of a small farm which appears on early Ordnance Survey maps, while Arnish Moor extends to the west. Loch Arnish lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the southwest of the Fabrication Yard.
